When the four stones of Caulfield begin to return one by one, they choose eleven-year old Breyden to find them. As he finds them, he and his grandfather have to harness their powers, then use them to defeat The Threat.
Book two is The Interruption, where Breyden must enlist the aid of three friends to increase the power of the stones and determine that there is something behind The Threat that must be destroyed.
Book three is The Annihilation, where Breyden, friends, and Breyden's grandfather taken not only The Threat, but what drives it.
All three books are set in 2022 and The Threat is a modern one.

Hi tguillot
You are hiding too much here. Four stones choose a boy to defeat a threat, with a lurking menace behind it. And?
Capitalizing "the threat" doesn't make it sound any less generic than the "something" of book two.
Do Breyden and his grandfather not know what they are struggling against through the entire first book? If it's societal or environmental it's important to note it -- and help agents/publishers find it.
Also recognize that books (if not self published) can take two years to hit shelves. So 2022 will be in the past.

This looks interesting, but raises a lot of questions. What are the stones? What are the powers, and do they belong to Breyden and his grandfather or the stones? That "their" is not clear. What's the Threat? What's at stake? The Threat is central to all three books, but we don't know what it is or why it's important to Breyden. What does Breyden have to do to stop the Threat, and what happens if he doesn't? Keep in mind that pitch reviewers often say "the end of the world" doesn't make high enough stakes and is too common to stand out. It's better if there's some deep emotional peril for Breyden, something worse than death or the end of the world. It's best not to mention 2022. Say it's contemporary and leave it at that. 2022 won't be current when the book comes out, even if it's sold today.
